It involves roasting of the beans and resulting in an oil that smells burnt.   1. Colour- The different processing methods also results in varying colours of the two oil. Castor oil is pale yellow. On the other hand, Jamaican castor oil is dark brown or black due to the heating procedure used in the extraction.
